Gentle HP 3000 List Members,

Well the 2nd annual HP3000-Lunch at HP World is now history. By my count,
68 people showed up, one of whom was on standby. As people came to the
HP3000-L area, I marked them down on my list as to which table they were
sitting . It got a little busy about 15 minutes into it, and I may
inadvertently overlooked a few people. So bear with me.

The following is a list of the people who had reserved, beside the names, I
have noted the table at which they sat. The ones that have #### marked
beside their name did not show up. Only one gave an excuse. The rest are
now branded with the excuse that they were not interested because they are
moving to UNIX. You are also barred from attending the next HP3000-L event
forever, or until the next HP3000-L event. Which ever comes first.

If you were incorrectly branded, please contact me so I can update your
status. You will need to have a corroborating witness and US$1,000 in
small, unmarked bills. :)

Unfortunately, my camera's battery gave out the night before the event, and
as the battery is of a type which is not that easily found, I was unable to
take pictures. Interex did send over a photographer but I understand he
only took a few pictures (which appeared in the following day's daily) and
ran away. So this year, we have names and tables but no photos. Next
year, we may be able to get this straight, names and pictures.

I thank all of you who showed up and I trust you had a good time putting
faces to names, as I did. At my table we talked about SCSI (Hardwarehouse
had a great bumper sticker "Who you calling SCSI?") and IDE. We also
talked about various recent threads.
