I belive there was a question earlier this year on speed differences
on the DDS2 tape machine...
 
For anyone interested, we converted from the DDS to the DDS2 tape
drive on my 928RX. The partial backup time changed from about
30 minutes (old DDS) to about 6-8 minutes (DDS2).
 
Hope this helps anyone wondering if it is worth the $$ to change.
