I am trying to compile freevt3k on a Linux
2.6.32-220.el6.x86_64 host. The program builds without
error using "make linux" but the resulting console to the
hp3000 contains spurious control characters which render
the display useless.
Specifically, when I log into the hp3000 using the newly
built freevt3k I see this:
:
The trailing character after the colon prompt displays as
a hollow upright rectangle. When I run a Powerhouse Quick
screen I see this:
MODE: ACTION:[;7m
┌────────────────────────────────────────┐Harte
& Lyne Limited │ QKMAINM - V 3.4 -
MAIN MENU
This email's formatting makes this appear worse than it is
but the characters [;7m which are placed in the action
field appear to cause the rest of the first line to be
shifted left some 10 characters or so.
Can anyone here provide me with a clue as to what can be
done to fix this?
