AFAIK, mirroring has never worked on LDEV 1. That rules out the most obvious
software solution.
Now, the problem is : how to secure LDEV 1 ?
If you don't want to invest in some high-tech (and my uneducated guess is
that you probably don't), fully redundant solution, I would recommend
installing Ldev1 on some external Raid box, such as a Mod20 or similar
array. You probably can find a Mod20 at a broker's near you at some
dirt-cheap price. The WC suffix quoted below indicates your system supports
Fast-Wide. Now, the remaining questions are : does your system have an
external FW port, AND do you have a FW cable and a terminator ?
If the answer is yes to all of the above, fine. You're 1 full install short
of Ldev1 hardware redundancy.
