Greetings,
Can Suprtool give me the record with the greatest amount of a given item?
Let's say I have this dataset with these items...
NAME X30
COST Z4
I have two records for NAME = "TABLE" with different costs of 900 and 1000.
I have two records for NAME = "CHAIR" with different costs of 800 and 750.
I would like Suprtool to give me the records with...
NAME = TABLE & COST = 100
NAME = CHAIR & COST = 800
I'm thinking I can get all the data and sort by COST, output the data to a
file, then input the new file and extract with a DUPLICATE NONE KEYS
statement to get the first record of each item, which logically would be the
item with the greatest cost.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ernie
