We have a long distance circuit from our HP3000 in the U.S. to China over a frame-relay circuit.
We're on 7.0 pp2.

Oftentimes individual printers drop the spooler, startspool fixes it.

Sometimes all the printers stop printing for no reason, (they're still spooled out).

The account manager there has access to OPENQ, and STARTSPOOL (SPOOLER nnn;START).

I'm trying to think of reasons why this occurs but can only think of reasons why individual printers stop. Here are some of the excuses I can come up with:

- Do users turn the printers off-line?
- Do the printers lose power at night, during the day?
- Are any printers on POWERSAVE mode when not used?
- Did someone change the IP address of these printers and not tell us?
- Is a DHCP user occupying this IP address and the print out became confused?
- Are the CISCO router tables correctly?
- Are the servers configured correctly?

What are some global reasons?
