of this list in general:

Last week I was at our plant in Texas, installing a new 918 and
couldn't recall how to set up the tape for autoreply.  A quick
email to this list and several people responded with the
answer.

Now, I'm looking for Cisco router cables and several people
responded again with good answers.  Curt in particular faxed me
the pinout of the adapter cable I was interested in, and for
this I have thanked Curt privately and now thank him publicly.

This list is the absolute best resource I have ever found for
getting answers to anything even remotely related to the HP3K
(witness my questions about Cisco routers!).  I have never seen
a group of more open and responsive people who are genuinely
interested in helping others, even at their own expense.  I am
truly grateful (and humbled) to be a small part of this group.
