I encourage fellow users to take the survey, even though I have
concerns as to its real usefulness.

There are a number of sections where HP is simply asking the wrong
questions, so they're going to get bad answers ... and probably make
decisions based on them.

One example: the section discussion moving to another machine. Many
people are likely to *add* another machine (e.g., Unix, or Linux, or AS/400),
not necessarily *replace* a 3000 ... yet if that's what you're doing, that
skews the answers you give...and HP's decisions based on them.

Another example: web servers. We use *multiple* web servers here. All
are inside the firewall, but some are accessible from outside it. (Two
violations of the survey's paradigm, already!)

Many questions/sections need a "does not apply" choice.

I know it's hard to write a good survey...that's why there are so very, very
few! IMHO, every survey question should have a text field for
"other/extra/more" ... because, like life, things are rarely neatly
compartmentalized.

BTW, I've already told HP about the typos in "&nbsp" (the ";" was
omitted, which bothers Netscape).
