A news _server_ might be a little easier as it won't have such
ugly CURSES issues. I would expect it to be similar to a web
server (but do not know details of NNTP so far).

Having a news server might be useful for IntRAnet communication.
Client might use Mosaic, Netscape or Explorer (if PC available).
