Two somewhat significant events occurred within Team HP3000-L during the
past two weeks while I was on holiday:
1. Sharkman (aka our hero, Jeff Kell :) passed the 10-CPU-year milestone
in contributing to the SETI@home effort.
Sadly (to him) coinciding (or nearly so) with this event was
2. John Zoltak *passed* Sharkman to take the lead (within Team HP3000-L)
for the total number of work units processed. He (or more precisely,
his array of machines) accomplished this feat in less than 8-CPU-years.
John's next major task (should he decide to accept it): breaking into the
top 1,000 users overall (and at the rate he's going, he'll do it, though it
will take a little while).
