Just another remider that there is a RFD (Request For Discussion) on
the topic of creating a new group under the comp.sys.hp heirarchy
called comp.sys.hp.marketplace along the lines of other
comp.sys.<foo>.marketplace groups.
 
Please give it a look see and provide your feedback pro/con etc to the
thread in news.groups.

This is a formal Request For Discussion (RFD) for the creation of a
world-wide unmoderated Usenet newsgroup comp.sys.hp.marketplace.  This
is not a Call for Votes (CFV); you cannot vote at this time.
Procedural details are below.
 
 
RATIONALE: comp.sys.hp.marketplace
 
There is no Hewlett-Packard specific group in which marketplace posts
are appropriate. misc.forsale.computers.workstation is not
HP-specific.  comp.sys.hp.hardware is for discussion of hardware
issues, not commerce; unfortunately, the name comp.sys.hp.hardware
makes it appear to be the least inappropriate group for HP-specific
hardware commerce and inappropriate posts appear there frequently. A
similar situation exists with respect to jobs offered postings and
other comp.sys.hp.* groups. A group dedicated to HP-specific
marketplace posts would concentrate these posts for the benefit of
those who are interested and reduce them in inappropriate groups.
 
The name of the proposed group is chosen to match the existing
comp.sys.hp.* and *.marketplace newsgroups.
 
CHARTER: comp.sys.hp.marketplace
 
comp.sys.hp.marketplace is an unmoderated group for "for sale",
"wanted to buy" and jobs offered/sought postings specific to
Hewlett-Packard systems.
 
Commercial and/or continuing advertising is acceptable with the
restriction that continuing posts must not appear with a frequency
greater than once per calendar month.
 
Postings about equipment, services and jobs unrelated to
Hewlett-Packard systems are not welcome.
 
END CHARTER.
 
PROCEDURE:
 
This is a request for discussion, not a call for votes.  In this phase
of the process, any potential problems with the proposed newsgroups
should be raised and resolved.  The discussion period will continue
for a minimum of 21 days (starting from when the first RFD for this
proposal is posted to news.announce.newgroups), after which a Call For
Votes (CFV) may be posted by a neutral vote taker if the discussion
warrants it.  Please do not attempt to vote until this happens.
 
All discussion of this proposal should be posted to news.groups.
 
This RFD attempts to comply fully with the Usenet newsgroup creation
guidelines outlined in "How to Create a New Usenet Newsgroup" and "How
to Format and Submit a New Group Proposal".  Please refer to these
documents (available in news.announce.newgroups) if you have any
questions about the process.
