Assuming that every vendor will post short messages announcing *new*
products for the HP 3000 in this newsgroup/mailing-list in the future,
would we really have to be afraid to end up with a massive amount of
postings (to many to copy with them)??

-----------------------------------

Hey at this point I wouldn't mind too much getting a massive amount of
posting of new products. We have been looking at the Oracle Gateway
product to use with our HP3000 and out new Peoplesoft financial
package. We were told that while the Gateway works with IMAGE and
Oracle 7.3.3 it will not currently work with Oracle 8 which is the
version we are going to be using. The reasoning.......Oracle is
still trying to decide if the HP3000 has any future. If the HP3000
community can't use this forum to announce new products to the HP3000
community then we are doing ourselves a great disservice by not
publicizing what is out there that utilizes the HP3000.

Just my humble opinion....
