Yes - ht:dig! We use it on our Unix servers as a search engine; source is
available (public domain)... and it doesn't seem to do anything REALLY
tricky, so a knowledgable porter (which I'm *not*) might be able to port
it pretty easily.

It's a very nice (and powerful) search engine! it doesn't support the
"logical" operators like some of the big commercial ones do, but it has alot
of customization options that can help you "weigh" various factors in a web
page differently.

    and select the "search the 3k site" option on the navigation frame (left
    side).
    or visit the 3000 Newswire site and try their search engine.

They're running on Unix boxes now, but I'd love to move 'em over to a 3000...
if someone would port them! ;-)
