No, MPE C wasn't released until after I started working there.
I was an HP customer at the National Bank of Detroit, and our machine
(s/n 28) was delivered early in 1973 with MPE A. We upgraded to MPE B
when it was released later in '73. I went to work at HP's Data Systems
Division in July of '74 and participated in the release of MPE C.
I left HP in '79 and hadn't been involved with the 3000 until last year
when I got my current job. It's nice to see all the improvements that
have been made, but it's also gratifying to note that the original de-
sign concepts are still going strong.
