Poland for example fielded 225.000 soldiers in the west and about
500.000 in the east, not counting onen of the largest underground
movement in the world. Taking into amount also cracing the enigma,
development of mine detector which was then used by British until
1990 and saved lives of thousands of allied soldiers, AK intelligence
(which for example informed about Peenemunde), that Polish pilots in
crucial 1940 were aabout 10% of British Air forces, i wouldnt say that
contribution was "minimal"
----------------------
I was not attempting to belittle the contribution of Poland or any
other country. The fact of the matter is, Poland's military forces
folded in a short time. Afterward, the resistance provided valuable
assistance, but without someone from outside providing support, any
resistance movement is not much good.
