Fellow Listers,

We've recently purchased a used HP987/200sx, with nothing but a FOS and
IMAGE installed. The disks have been scratched; there are 9 of them, 5 of
which or fast-wide SCSI, the other 4 are single-ended SCSI.

Today, we got the electrician in to run us some power and we're ready to
go...I just don't know where to go yet. I'd like some help on what to
expect when I plug in the box and let it boot up. Ultimately, we're going
to store everything off of our 957(our current production machine), then
restore onto the 987, making it our new production machine.

I've done operating system upgrades and patches, installed disks and other
sys admin duties on MPE systems, but this is the first time I've work with a
bare-bones box. I've looked at the archives, HP's websites and I'm not
able to find the information I need. If any of you can point me in the
right direction, I'd be very grateful.

Thanks,

Cary Marshall
