Swap failed DDS4 drive
Dear HP3000-L
We have a DDS4 tape drive, housed in a 'Smart' enclosure, which has
apparently failed. It continually asks to be cleaned, even though we've
cleaned it several times. The failed drive is on our development box. On
our production box, we have two DDS4 drives in a similar smart enclosure,
one of which is not frequently used, so I have a 'spare' that I can use on
the development box.
My question: Can I move the spare drive from the production 3000 to the
development 3000 while both 3000s are up, or should I do a shutdown first?
Thanks!
