Well, I feel like I have gone back into public accounting. Upper
management is no longer satisfied with time estimates that the
programming staff provides for projects. The split between fire
fighting, client training, and programming is also under the
micro scope.
Does anyone have any suggestions on a cheap solution to accumulate
time and produce summary graphs and statistical reports. This
seems like a nightmare to track and I don't think it will last
more than about 6 months.
I actually believe that the data is going to be used to evaluate
contract programming vs. hiring additional staff. I don't think
we need extra staff for programming, but that doesn't seem to
carry much weight right now.
Any suggestions are welcome.
