Steve,

If you are dialing into an MPE machine and have reached the MPE prompt, you
simply need to enter the command

        help

to get information about the actions available to you at the command line.
The MPE Command Interpreter (CI) is very powerful, but requires some
familiarity.

If you are on a 4.5 or later MPE system, you can access the Posix shell (a
variant of k-shell and bourne-shell) by entering

        run sh.hpbin.sys; info="-L"

To gain access to the unix command interface.

HP3000/MPE system? It's for a local library. I don't know how to even change
a directory! Please help!
