Wharton County Junior College has a permanent position for an Assistant
Director of Computer Services available now.

Position: Assistant Director of Computer Services

Deadline: Search begins immediately and continues until a suitable
candidate is
  found. Prefer to fill position by July 15, 1998.

General Description

Assists the Director of Computer Services with system design and
planning, networks, budgeting, telephone systems, staffing, and
management of the College s information technology.
Requirements

1.   Bachelor s degree in computer science, information systems, business
administration, or  equivalent.

2.  Minimum of three years experience in computer-related field.

3.  Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals,
professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

4.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure
manuals.

5.  Ability to effectively present information and to respond to
questions from constituents in the college community.

6.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions
in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and
concrete variables.

7.  Minimum of two years supervisory/administrative experience,
preferably in a college environment.
