Mark's latest "build" was in pieces (or planned to be?), but the problem
of downloading large binaries is a real one. There is a known problem with
the OpenMarket server having a default connection timeout of 20 minutes and
your transfer can be aborted (though jazz was reconfigured for a longer
timeout). There is also a similar timeout in Netscape (reported previously
by HP) but I haven't verified this personally. I've seen exceptions where
Netscape doesn't timeout but it may have to deal with http vs ftp or in the
server header formats (some provide Content-length:, others don't). Anyway..

If Mark doesn't mind I can provide straight FTP access on opus (http also
if you wish). But if it is a strict bandwidth issue there's no easy answer.
I believe Mark will be providing the Gnu tools on the HPWorld swap tape.
