Hmm. It's amazing how some novels seem to mirror reality.
Bush has gone very quiet about the designated enemy number 1, Osama
Bin Laden.
No-one seems to know where he is etc. All the resources of the US
haven't
managed to bring him to justice.
However, that is conveniently forgotten as we move on to a more
available
target, namely Saddam Hussain. Personally, I think this is a BIG
mistake.
If this sabre-rattling leads to war, it will only bring more
September 11th atrocities in the USA.
Unfortunately, it will do the same for the UK if Tony Blair keeps up
this
"head-in-the-sand"/"follow Bush over the cliff" policy. In my opinion,
most British people would rather let sleeping dogs lie. At least it
seems
they are not swallowing the "gung-ho" rhetoric from both Blair and
Bush.
I don't have any indication about American public opinion on this
issue.
