Thanks to Bill, Walter and Stan for the information. I love this list!
This whole issue brings up something that has been on my mind for awhile.
Ever since the November, 2001 announcement of the HP3000 end of life, people
have speculated and debated about how long HP planned the demise of MPE
before announcing it. It has always seemed to me that HP's practice in the
years leading up to the announcement of enhancing the OS, but not updating
the manuals to reflect those changes was indicative of a belief that the end
was near. Once the distribution of manuals had become almost exclusively
electronic, keeping the manuals current should have been relatively easy,
but HP seemed to walk away from its documentation well in advance of the EOL
announcement.
