Hi There,

There has been something wrong with out Spooler since May when
we updated POWEPAT on our HP3000/947LX. We have MPE/iX 5.0.
The problem occurs occasionally when there is SEVERAL COPIES to be
printed, when first printout is complete spooler stops with following
messages on the console:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spooler could not complete output Onnnn
Native Spooler Message 9511

Output spooler, LDEV #240 FDEVICECONTROL error
Native Mode Spooler Message 9547

Storage Managerment SIO undefined function
(FILE SYSTEM ERROR -6001)
File system message 6001

Printer Storage manager: an error was reported from lower level subsystem
Printer storage manager message 13

WARNING: Message set 134 was not found in the system catalog

Printer storage manager; device is off-line
Printer Storage Manager message 23

The device is off-line
Low Levell I/O message 204

Output Spooler, LDEV #246: Stopped

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is no problem at all when only one copy of the output is being printed.
Spooler doesn't stop every time, but often enough to be disturbing.
Is there something wrong with our spooler or is the problem somewhere else.

Waiting for help,

Sirpa Sipinen
