Depending on what HP3000 system you have, there is probably an item in
the Corporare Price List for MPE/iX -> HP-UX conversion. What is
involved is HP comes in and switches out a PROM on the motherboard
which tells the system whether look for an HP-UX boot loader or the
MPE boot loader. You also get some kind of HP-UX license transfer.
Your IMAGE/SQL license is, of course, wasted.

Oh, and you write HP a nice big check, too. :)
