Upgrading from a series 70 running MPE/V to a series 969 MPE/iX 5.0.

All apps developed in house using COBOL. Many of our main apps do not run on the 969 system.
Unable to load program [progname] TOO MANY CODE SEGMENTS! This includes our Order Entry, Billing,
Shop Floor Control, Inventory, and MANY MORE!

Does this mean I can't run in compatibility mode?

Whatever the case, I would like to know why these programs run on the s/70 without any problems
and do not run on the 969. I'm aware that on the s/70 the code segment limit is 255. WHAT IS THE
LIMIT for code segments ON THE 969 IN COMPATIBILITY MODE!

Thanks for any help in advance.
