Looking at getting a new desk for home?

From the ITRC:

The maximum supported memory size on the Series 48 is 4 Megabytes.
The series 48 was introduced when only 256K memory boards were
available, and even with 8 256k boards, you can only have a maximum
of 2 Megabytes.

Subject: [HP3000-L] Series 48 memory

Hi all,

Does anyone remember the total memory a series 48 could hold? I seem to
recall it being configured with 2MB, but could hold 8MB?

Thanks in advance. :-)
