storeset and sysgen:
Section entitled 'Combined SLT and Store set' still states (as in previous
versions of the manual) that;
"STORE options TRANSPORT,STORESET and MOSET(turbostore) are invalid when a
combined SLT/Store set is being created"
Therefore backup process creating SLT/STORE tapes cannot use parallel
stores.
There is a enhancement request: 5003082396
Could you be looking for the option store?
As of MPE XL release B.31.00 (3.1) the TAPE command in SYSGEN allows you to
append user files to the SLT. The syntax of the command is
TAPE [[STORE=] filesetstring ]
The filesetstring is simply the fileset you wish to STORE, enclosed in
quotes. To create an SLT and backup your whole system, you would enter
the command in SYSGEN
sysgen> TAPE STORE="@[log in to unmask]@"
It is not possible to specify any STORE options on the TAPE command. If
you want to specify options such as SHOW=OFFLINE or DIRECTORY, you need
to put them into an indirect file.
For example, you may have an indirect file called INDSTORE that contains
the following :
@[log in to unmask]@;SHOW=OFFLINE;DIRECTORY
Your TAPE command will then be
sysgen> TAPE STORE="!INDSTORE"
When you backup your system with just a filesetstring of "@[log in to unmask]@",
then the system directory is not stored. To STORE the directory
you must use an indirect file that contains the ;DIRECTORY option.
STORE tapes created by SYSGEN can only be RESTOREd on a system running
release 3.1 or later.
Hope this helps.
