this past weekend i switched out an old squeaky drive for a new one. in
the install/restore process i ran buldjob1 and buldjob2 from buldacct run
before the backup. after restoring the files and starting the daemons i
find that sendmail is failing with a error
user
8:27/#J4/191/Apr 15 08:27:43 localhost sendmail[6095079]:
gethostbyaddr(172.30.64.17) failed: 2
8:27/#J4/191/Apr 15 08:27:43 localhost sendmail[6095079]: NOQUEUE:
SYSERR(SERVER.SENDMAIL): can not chdir(/var/spool/mqueue/): Permission
denied
and sendmail logs off.
what permissions do i need to reset and why were these not part of
buldacct?
also it seems that buldacct assumes that users have BA capability in the
buldjob2 stream as it streams a job to set the udc for the users. this
fails if the user does not have BA capability. can the job not use the
setcatalog xxx.xxx.xxx;user=yyy.yyy command rather than stream a job for
each user?
