Tom "really brick-headed today" Madigan asked:

And Ron Horner replied:

[That's "Korn" shell, as in David Korn].

To which Shawn responded:

Well... sort of. I prefer to create a file named SH.PUB.SYS, which contains
the following line:

run sh.hpbin.sys;nmstack=60000000;info="-L"

(You only need the large NMSTACK if you are going to try out JAVA.)

The group HPBIN.SYS contains the versions of the POSIX utilities that you can
run from the MPE CI. The versions that you use from the POSIX (Korn) shell
are in /bin.

You may also be interested in my notes on "Plug-N-Play POSIX", available at
http://www.allegro.com; I modified it last week to be consistent with the
MPE/iX 6.0 changes.
