Leonard,

I apologize if my posting appeared to be "huffy" -- that was not my
intent; that's just the way I talk. I just wanted to outline our
thinking here in the lab when it comes to obsoleting releases. I
think we've received a lot of feedback on the 5.0 Pull-Push strategy,
and it's probably safe to say that you won't see a similar strategy,
at least not on my watch.

Throughout this thread, I did not get the impression that you are
having any problems when you are running the 5.0 Pull release. While
the 5.0 Pull is "officially" not supported, I'm sure our support
community will assist you with any 5.0 Pull problem while you still
are having problems getting onto the 5.0 Push. If not, I'd like to
know -- please e-mail me if you are having problems.

We do understand the value customers place on stable MPE releases and
the difficulties they sometimes experience when updating their
software. I'm sorry that you have had some problems. If you wish,
I'd be happy to chase down the status of your problem (but it sounds
like you have the patch in hand, albeit late).
