I have a Xerox4220 printer using the JetDirect EX box. Two things:
     1) Make sure you have HP's parallel cable (part number 24542D)
     connecting the JetDirect to the printer parallel port and 2) Enable
     two-way communications on the printer configuration.

We have a new 5000/C40D printer, assembled yesterday, and trying to do the
final touches today.  We plan to use ESPUL to print to it via a JetDirect EX
box until network printing comes out in 5.5.  In the meantime, for anyone
that may have already been down this path (particularly any of the network
printing vendors that already have experience with the printer) are there
some essential settings in the printer config to pay attention to?
 
Also, I noted in the documentation that "PJL is not supported in the current
release" of the internal software.  This would imply no page-level recovery
with network printing in 5.5, no?  Is a subsequent release of the C40D code
planned to support PJL?
