#1 You'll need electricity.

#2 Hook it up to a SCSI port on the back of your HP3000.

#2a They come in two flavors, Single ended and Fast-Wide.

#2b If Fast-Wide, you should not have a cabling problem.

#2c If Single-Ended, you need "special" Single-Ended cables that
"looks" Fast-wide at one end and Single-Ended at the other.

#2d If Single-Ended, you need a "special" Single-Ended terminator that
"looks" Fast-wide. But the telltale LED gives it away.

#3 The two vertical areas for drives are split. You need a FW-SCSI
jumper cable between the two halves in the back in order to use both
halves on one SCSI path.

#4 Make sure the dip switches on the back are all different. The
switch numbers will be part of the path, zero through sixteen.

#4b Make sure NONE of them are set to address 7!

#5 Copy the model numbers and Paths from MAPPER and plug them into
SYSGEN.

(SYSGEN does not need to know about the Jamaica box, configure your SCSI
card and Pseudo device as normal. Each individual disc drive follows
after the Pseudo device in the Path.)
