Ah, this might feel like a familiar problem to lowecase donna who reported
it to HP... SR 8606-348971 documents a case where the error message from
the FTPSrvr "552 File accessed exclusively. (FTPERR 45)" is incorrect and
the actual error message should be "552 SECURITY VIOLATION (FSERR 93)". The
issue that donna found was with POSIX file ownership permissions and the
user that was logged in with FTP did not actually have ownership of the file
to be able to purge it, thus the FTP 'put' command worked creating a temp
file on the FTPSrvr system, but the transfer failed when the FTPSrvr
attempted to purge the destination file before performing the save from temp
to perm.
The patch you have installed does not have this fix, it is fixed in FTPHDE8
8/1/2005 and in GR patch FTPHDG5 2/23/2006.
So, you may want to add possible cases of file ownership and access issues
into your investigation of this problem.
The warranty and liability expired as you read this message. If the above
breaks your system, it's yours and you keep both pieces.

James Hofmeister
