Anything's possible, but we certainly see no indication of this, and we've
got a lot of PCs running 98. In fact, my first tendency would be to dismiss
this comment out of hand. Rather, I would tend to put this down to some sort
of urban legend, if it weren't for the question: how urbanized is Moses Lake?

More seriously, if something's bogging your system, it's much more likely to
be an application of some sort than the operating system. A lot of the
problems and instabilities that are blamed on Windows are not truly Windows'
fault, but are rather the consequences of surprisingly sloppy programming on
the parts of a number of application vendors.

Use software applications that are judiciously chosen, and I suspect that you
will be surprised at the quality and stability of Windows (for followup
comments to that statement, please send all response to [log in to unmask],
not to me; it's an honest observation, not an invitation for a war).
