Jay,

You'll have more flexibility with your own code, but the
level of effort to develop and maintain it will most likely
be much greater than using an ODBC interface. I've used
Minisoft's ODBC/32 driver to access TI databases as Linked
Servers from SQL Server 2000 as well as from Cold Fusion
web applications.

Subject: [HP3000-L] Minisoft Vs Sockets

Greetings to all,
I am using a IE client which hosts web services (ASP.NET). The IE client
updates the SQL server database.
I have to update the data from the SQL Server to Turbo Image database on a
HP3000 machine. To do this, i have the following two methods

1. Sockets on HP. (create listener sockets on HP3000 and wait for any
updation requests through ports from the Web service)
2. Minisoft ODBC driver to update the HP3000.
