if wishes were horse -- absolutely yes! we are sooo fortunate to work on an os
a rich as mpe! but....

well that would be nice too....but....

i don't think we stand a snowball's chance of ever seeing anything done to
*existing* mpe 'things'. i believe csy is taking a position of 'fix it only if
it is really really broke'. there's the outside chance that we can get csy to
agree to 'coding' to a particular standard for future 'things' i guess, i hope.
we've pointed out how devctrl doesn't work. we've pointed out ping needs to be
unbundled (take away the nm restriction). we've talked about how many things
that we'd like fixed/improved on our systems. but is any of it going to be
addressed? i don't think so....nor do i know what to do about it.
i'm guessing the 'hpworld' publication is available somewhere on the web? i'm
also guessing that a fair number of you actually get 'hpworld' from interex.
get the last issue and read winston's article. read what he has to say about
3000-l. please draw your own conclusions but....perhaps you can see why i'm at
a loss to know what to do.
