Hello Cecile:

Thanks for your email.

The AS/400 has been an important new market for us. The object of the
"game" is to stay in business and make money doing it. It was clear to us
that we needed to put some of our "eggs" in a different basket if we hoped
to survive and even prosper.

Minisoft is committed to supporting ALL of its HP3000 offerings for as long
as we have HP3000 customers. Now I know this sounds like just another
vendor making a hollow promise. But let me give you a great example of how
we work......

Minisoft started on the HP3000 in 1983. Our first product was not a
terminal emulator to compete with Reflection...... No our first product
was a word processor for the HP3000 called MiniWord. It was designed to
compete with a product from Hewlett Packard called HPWord and a product
from AICS (Wirt Altmar would remember the name of his product). We sold
about 1,500 licenses of MiniWord over the years. Here's my point. Even
though MiniWord was developed 18 years ago we are still selling it and
supporting it today! We made it Y2K compliant and have made sure it ran
correctly on recent versions of MPE/iX. This is proof of our committment
to our products and the HP3000. It might be worth mentioning that HPWORD
and the AICS word processing products are long gone!

Our committment to the Minisoft ODBC/32 driver is just as strong! In
addition to continued support of the HP3000, we have also supported HP
Eloquence with both our ODBC and JDBC drivers. In addition we recented
ported our ODBC/JDBC technology to HP/UX and Linux and are currently
working on direct support of Oracle and DB2 databases with our drivers.

Please feel free to call or email me with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Doug Greenup
