The mentioning of PRINTOPREPLY in Jeff's earlier posting reminded me
that I happened to use PRINTOP and PRINTOPREPLY when creating my small
example "how to call native code from Java/iX using the Java Native
Interface JNI"...

So if you're really desparately looking for a small piece of C and/or
COBOL code where you can "steal" the PRINTOPREPLY call and add some
call to HPCIPUTVAR to return the result into a CI variable, you might
feel free to visit the "Calling MPE Intrinsics" example at...
