I agree.  I think HP has been forcing Open Skies into an HP mould that
doesn't necessarily fit the airline industry.  I'm also very dubious about
HP's foray into service-bureau operations as, again, the use of this
depends heavily on the market conditions in particular industries in which
HP has no experience.  Marketing has never one of their strong points;
their strength lies in their engineering excellence.

On the other side, if a competitor to Open Skies emerges, as is quite
possible, they would never have used an HP machine because of HP's conflict
of interest.  Now, at least, HP (and even the e3000) will be back in the
running again.

The cobbler should stick to his last.
