Craig,
You really should do more research before reaching conclusions. With
regards to your home state of Illinois
http://www.elections.state.il.us/ElectionInformation/VoteTotalsList.aspx?officeid=3780
There are 103 counties not 107 in Illinois
It's the "Democratic" party not the "Democrat" party
In the last statewide general election for governor in 2006
Blagojevich-D 1.73 million votes
Topinka-R 1.40 million votes
Whitney-Green .36 million votes
Counties won by the Democrat - 32 not 4 to 5
Alexander
Boone
Calhoun
Cook
Franklin
Fulton
Gallatin
Hamilton
Hardin
Henderson
Jefferson
Jersey
Knox
Lake
Lasalle
Madison
Massac
Mercer
Monroe
Perry
Pope
Pulaski
Putnam
Randolph
Rock Island
Saline
St. Clair
Union
Whiteside
Will
Williamson
Winnebago
The number of counties argument or square miles of land argument has
always been bogus. Same argument was used for Bush's win over Gore in
2000. He had more square miles and more counties. Gore had 1/2 million
more votes

Wirt,
It really wasn't necessary to go into details, you had me when you said
Sarah Palin was the Governor of Alaska. Clearly there are no qualified
people of the 600,000+ people who live in Alaska. I am surprised we let
them self govern at all. The mere fact that she is an elected official
doesn't make her qualified at all.
Obviously the left needs to divert the attention from there candidate for
President by focusing on the VP of the opposing party.
I can tell you right now, I am against BOTH parties. But lets use a
little common sense here. There are about say 200-300 cities in the
United States that have a population of 300,000 or more people.
There about 100,000 cities in the United States with a population of
10,000 or less. You do the math, the United States is a lot more like
Wasilla, then it is like Chicago.
Speaking of Chicago, my home state is Illinois. There are approx 107
counties in the "highly Democrat" State of Illinois. Would you care to
guess how many of those counties are consider Democrat? I believe it is 4
or 5 at the maximum.
How do you think the 102 other counties feel about Chicago, where the
majority of their tax dollars go?
No matter which candidate wins in November, rest assured, the US will
continue it's march towards socialism.
And rest assured, that no matter who wins, the next 4-8 years are going to
be a rough ride.
