        I'am meena doing a project in HP-ISO . This is regarding printing spool
        files from MPE 5.0.

        My design is to have a server running on Unix and the client on MPE
        and the files are transferred using BSD sockets.

        When these files are copied to Unix usig ftp there are some control
        charaters appearing in these files. As such the spool files when
        sent from the MPE prompt to Unix using sockets do not have any of
        these control characters.

        I would like to know as to when exactly these CCTLs get embedded in
        the spool files.

        Any ideas/suggestions regarding this would be highly appreciated.
