I mentioned earlier that if ten people can be assembled for a six-week class
on

     "Philosophy of Modern Programming:
building exceptionally reliable and robust systems"
     July 11 to August 19, 2005.

..I would be pleased to teach the class.

Three people have so far registered. Two more have indicated that they are
definite maybes, two have said that they would very much like to have taken the
class but will be out of town (or the country) during the class, and four more
have expressed interest.

It doesn't look like ten people will be possible, but I still want to do
this. If five people will sign up, the class will go, thus if you've given some
consideration to registering, please do.

A few people have asked if the class will be repeated and perhaps taught
again in the Fall. Given this level of response, that doesn't seem likely, so if
you are giving thought to taking the class, this is probably the time to do it.

The class will not be taught "live". The format will be that of a
pre-prepared downloadable audio slide show which you can watch at your convenience, so
even if you have travel plans during this period, unless you will be completely
disconnected from the internet, you should be able to stay current quite
easily.
