Barry,
The only advise I can give you is, before you move to Jumbo datasets
be sure you have done any reblocking/repacking you can. Once you have
Junmbo sets (and they start filling up) you will find that it will
take longer to do any house keeping on them. In my case we are a 24x7
shop and scheduling time for this is difficult (but possible).
BTW, Adager it a very good choice, not only is their product very
stable (tried and true) but the staff at Adager deserves an A+ when it
comes to support. It sounds like your headed in the right direction.
After you implement the Jumbo dataset/s you will need to change your
backups using the posix file naming in order the store the Jumbo
extents.

We are an Amisys client who is getting ready to move to Jumbo
datasets. I want to double check that we have everything in
place before I proceed. We are on MPE 5.0 PP6(pretty sure but
will be double checking) and we will soon be purchasing Adager.
If any one has any suggestions (I am already planning on backing
up my system twice) I would more than welcome them!
Thanks,
