No hardware required. NBSpool Software with LPR/LPD will print directly from
the spool queue to the network printers, alternate printer capabilities
exists as well in the event the printer becomes unavailable, has piping
capability for all spoolfile creation to occur on a central HP3000 or print
server. Additionally, core Vista a online-report viewer comes standard. For
more information see www.quest.com and look at Output Management, NBSpool
and NBSpool Connectivity.

We used to use Intel Netport Express to get our parallel printers to talk to
the HP3000 via TCP/IP. The box had two parallel ports and on serial port.
We had no problems with it. If you're using a printer with a JetDirect card
(which I believe is already TCP/IP) do you even need the Netport Express
box? I would think you'd be able to connect your printer directly to your
network. I may be missing something..... :-)
