Hi Joe:

Saw your post on the 3000L. Cort does not know what they are talking about.
The HP3000 is not "declining rapidly". There are sites moving off the
platform but there are new sites coming onto the platform. I would say the
HP3000 installed base is growing sideways (flat growth) worse case.

Frankly I was never a big fan of Cort as an HP3000 vendor. They were VERY
unknowledgeable everytime we were involved in one of there accounts. For
example they made statements many times saying that MiniSoft 92 did not
handle HP terminal emulation! Even though many of there users successfully
used our connectivity software.

Sales of MiniSoft products on the HP3000 platform continue to grow. We are
very optimistic about the prospects for the future. We have sold over 1,500
HP3000 sites ODBC drivers since ODBC/32 was released July of 1997! If this
market was dying or declining rapidly we couldn't make that statement. We
are so confident of the HP3000 market we recently launched an effort to
bring a JDBC driver to the HP3000 providing Image database access from Java
decision support tools. We recently began shipping Javelin (A Java thin
client) which allows FULL HP terminal emulation from within Internet
Explorer or Netscape over an Internet or Intranet.

Anyway sorry for the ranting on this topic. The HP3000 is a great machine
and we are investing heavily to deliver solutions for it.

Take care Joe,

Doug Greenup
