Hi folks,
Is there a way of re-starting the Streams/iX subsystem without resorting
to a re-boot?
I'm trying to figure out why sendmail does not seem to attempt to
reprocess mail that has been placed in the '/var/spool/mqueue' directory
due to an error. It seems that just after a re-boot sendmail does attempt
to process 'old' mail but not after that. The problem that I'm facing is
the delivery of mail that is weeks and even months old when the server is
restarted. I think that if there was a way of periodically restarting
Streamx/iX, perhaps every night during the backup, mail left stranded in
the above directory would be processed.
Regards
Paul Christidis
