To the Interex Board:

I am forwarding an email I posted recently when I found that having a
paragraph at the Interex website would cost me $100.00. I am continually
offended and irritated by having to pay for every little "service" I get
from Interex.

First, I am a dues-paying member of Interex. Second, I (as are many of
the HP 3000 consultants) speak frequently at various user group meetings
Third, the site where my consultant ad would appear at your website is
obscure and difficult to get to. Fourth, given that SIGConsult is willing
to put the effort in to maintain the consultant's list, very little, if
any, actual effort is required by Interex in providing this service.
Lastly, many of us host our own websites where it is considered a
standard practice for us to provide links, free of charge, to others
reaching the same constituency.

Is it going to continue to be the policy of Interex to "nickle and dime"
us for every thing? If so, I would rather put my money and effort into
a group of people such a 3K and Associates or Ron Seybold's group where
I know that, at the very least, they will continue to provide services
relevant to my day-to-day needs. I also have the assurance that they
will continue to bow to open market realities where they keep up in the
areas I am concerned about knowing that if they don't, they will lose me
as a customer.

Sincerely,

William Lancaster
