Have had a similar problem on some of our PC's. HP have not been able
to reproduce problem, and thus not able to offer a solution.

Try using drvsetup.exe instead of setup.exe. This worked ok for me,
although from memory the buttons did not display on the window and I
had to guess as to what they were. In the end, i set all the archive
flags on the WINDOWS directory on a machine which worked correctly, and
then copied all files which had been accessed to a diskette to use as a
'copyable' installation disk. You also need to muck around with some INI files.

Good luck

Subject: odbc setup failing on some win95 machines

I am loading (at least trying to ) load the Allbase SQL odbc on several
IBM 350-p133's. On two machines the drivers loaded and we can connect to the
3k just fine. On every other machine odbc setup just gives the very
first (initializing setup) window and it then goes away. No error messages
or any other hints about why it will not work. I can not find any significant
differences between the PCs. They were all set up from a master image and
dropped on our desks as part of a refresh program.
I also have the same problem on another PC that I loaded win95 on to
from a file server.

Other programs setup and run just fine. If any one has seen a
similiar problem your advice would be greatly appreciated.
