I've been working with Beechglen (sorry for the plug). After several hours it was
discovered that 4 files in the /dev/ directory were causing the problem. As long
as I didn't include the /dev/ directory I could back up the entire system.

The 5 files in question were /dev/autoraid30 thru /dev/autoraid34. We deleted
these files and everything works well. This does leave a few issues open but we
are working thru them.

Our HP-12h originally came up with ldevs 30-34 for the autoraid drives. With some
configuration changes they are now ldevs 1-5. I believe these files in the /dev/
directory were confusing the store command (for lack of a more technical term).

Anyway our new 997/400 box is now up and I'm beginning the process of creating
volume sets and the accounting structures and then the eventful migration of all
our data. Of course this will all be done and parallel tested by Friday nite so
the cut over can take place Saturday nite!!!! Bring on the mid-nite madness.....
